Howard

I've lasted twenty-nine months now

which is pretty good for pancreatic cancer

Grace and I have been thinking about going somewhere

maybe taking one last trip

we thought about an ocean cruise

the problem is how to store my TPN

which has to be refrigerated

I can't digest food anymore

and I have to get my nourishment intravenously at night

I couldn't figure out how to handle a long trip

then I got invited to my nephew's wedding back east

we explained it to the airline

and got a cold pack

and they stored the TPN in the unheated belly of the plane

and that worked out all right

it was a very orthodox wedding

men dancing on one side and women dancing on the other

I was sitting there watching

when somebody grabbed me

and tried to get me to dance

I said it was hard for me

he said God wants us to dance

so I danced with all these bearded men

and it was nice

it was really nice
