Luba Minsk

Luba Minsk spontaneously germinated inside a two minute long undeveloped film roll of the little known Flossenbürg concentration camp. As of this biography’s publication Luba remains unaware that the Shoah has had a delineated beginning, middle and end. Suckled at the sealed nipples of nitrate film Luba requires no nourishment, no warmth, no color, only the ever-tilting impressions of an anonymous Nazi anthropologist who unapologetically recorded her world with overexposed light and anxiety. In this way, Luba feeds on nitrocellulose as would a parasitical mold. When not eating, she teaches online courses on Film Editing for the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU. Her obscure theoretical text Transparent Vibration is banned in the US.
